EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 18: To mark the 30 th Anniversary of Kashmiri Pandit exodus, the community members took to social networking to narrate their horrifying story and start a campaign #HumWapasAayenge on twitter.
#HumWapasAayenge is now trending on Twitter as scores of Kashmiri Pandits from across the globe shared their tale on social networking sites. It is to be noted that on January 19, 1990, scores of Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave their homes in the Valley following a genocidal campaign launched by the terrorists.
Journalist Rahul Pandita took to his Twitter and captioned and said, "30 years of exile from Kashmir. Let us now pledge that we will return home."
Aditya Raj Kaul another journalist tweeted, "It's been 30 years. My father Kaul Utpal narrates how our house in Kashmir was burned and library destroyed by terrorists. Yet Kashmir Pandits always say, next Shivratri we will celebrate in Kashmir. We have lost our house, not resolve to return to our homeland. #HumWapasAayenge
“Tomorrow on 19th January we Kashmiri Pandits r completing 30 years of our exile from our motherland. I challenge sickulars to experience exile. Feeling proud on my community who stand firm against all odds and show courageous and self confidence at all time #HumWapasAayenge”, tweets Chanderkanta Bhat Pandita. “Nothing can heal the corroded memories of Kashmiri Pandit’s life, but a hope is alive that #HumWapasAayenge”, tweets another user.
Last September, a delegation of the Kashmiri Pandit community met the Prime Minister in Houston and thanked him for the historic decision to scrap Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
