The District Election Officer, Leh Dr. M.K Bhandari along with Nodal Officer Sh. Sonam Gyaltson, Additional Deputy Commissioner, ERO Sh. Surat Sing, AERO and other Election Officer conducted one-day Booth Level Officer (BLO) training of Leh and Kharu blocks at Leh today.
Extensive training to BLOs in order to achieve 100 % EPIC coverage before the Assembly Election, 2008 was given. This requires house to house visit and completion of 001B Form.
The District Election Officer Dr. M.K Bhandari who is also the Deputy Commissioner, Leh stressed on time bound completion of entire exercise as per the directions and guidelines of Election Commission of India.
The BLOs were also trained on the issues covering continuous updation of Electoral Rolls, inspection of Polling Stations and other election related issues. They were exhorted to work sincerely, with Zeal and commitment in order to make the entire election process free and fair and in accordance to the directions of Election Commission.
Dr. Bhandari said that the BLOs would start house to house visit for completion of 001B Forms from tomorrow itself. He appealed all the Nambarders and village Representatives to extend full cooperation with the BLOs. |
