NMC hails visits of Central Ministers to J&K

JAMMU, Jan 22: While hailing the decision of Union Government to depute central ministers to visit Jammu and Kashmir to assess the developmental scenario, the President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today hoped that visit of these Union Ministers will address the long pending issues of the people at the grass root level adding that these visit have showed the Modi Govt. is committed towards the development of newly created UTs Jammu and Kashmir.
“Visit by Central Ministers is simultaneously plugging the gap of developmental works by way of sanctioning reasonable amount of funds on spot which is very appreciable.” Shastri said this while addressing a well-attended NMC workers’ meet here. He said that this kind of approach has never been adopted the same during the past 70 years by the earlier regimes.
The focus of the NDA Govt. at the centre is to develop the UTs in all fields for overall prosperity of the citizens of UTs whole heartily.
Shastri also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release the pending installment of 4 per cent DA due from January 1, 2020 for both central/states government, UTs employees and pensioners in view of increasing inflation and prices hike of essential commodities.
Pleading the genuine cause of state pensioners, Shastri also appealed union territory administration to issue necessary order for enhancing of the rate of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month of J&K UTs pensioners in accordance with the Central Govt pensioners for which earlier regimes paid to heed to this human issue. Shastri also demand an early creation of separate wage head for uninterrupted release of monthly wages of daily rated workers of various government departments.
