| Rafting expedition flagged off | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 2 Grit, determination, endurance and courage in the face of extreme adverse situations defines the Indian soldier, be in it on the battle field or during trying and grueling adventure activities. To further develop the spirit of adventure and to test the endurance of its brave soldiers, Indian Army undertakes number of adventure activities. As part of these adventure activities, a White Water Rafting Expedition was flagged off by Army from Kaudiyala on 17 June 2008. This expedition is a part of the series of events planned to commemorate the 60 years of glorious and dedicated service to the nation. The expedition team consisted of 02 Officers and 15 Other Ranks and it covered a total distance of more than 73 kms on the Ganga river from Kaudiyala to Rishikesh in a span of 02 days. The expedition was flagged in at Kaluchak, Jammu by Brigadier VS Saini, Commander 26 Artillery Brigade. |
