Unusual movement of Pak army near Indian border in JK
9/1/2006 9:51:08 PM
New Delhi, Sept 1: There was panic in the Indian border town of Rajouri late Thursday after reports came in of "unusual movement" of Pakistan Army vehicles near the Line of Control in the Peer Badesar area.

Pakistan had forward posts in the area and the vehicles could have been headed there.

There was no plan to send additional troops to the area, an Indian english daily "Indian Express" reported here Friday quoting Indian Army spokesman Col D K Badola.

Rajouri's Senior Superintendent of Police Farooq Khan said that the police were in touch with the Army over the reports and that there was no cause for alarm.
