JKNPP seeks eviction of BJP legislators from Govt bungalows
1/26/2020 12:07:50 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

Jammu, Jan 25: Lambasting the J&K administration and the department of Estates in particular for adopting two different yardsticks in respect to eviction of ex- Ministers and MLAs from government accommodation, scores of Panther activists led by GaganPratap Singh State Secretary JKNPP and others lodged a strong protest demonstration at the office of Deputy Director Estates in Jammu today. While raising the slogans, the agitated protesters accused the Estates department of allowing BJP leaders to illegally occupy the Govt. Quarters & Ministers Bungalows and executing forceful eviction of the leaders of opposition from their allotted residences. GaganPratap Singh State Secretary JKNPP pointed out that BJP leaders were still occupying the government quarters illegally in brazen defiance of the administration’s notice for eviction where as many leaders of the opposition had either vacated their residence at will or several others were evicted forcefully from their quarters by the department of Estates.
“Ex- Ministers and MLAs of the BJP including its leaders are enjoying the govt. accommodation without paying the rent for several months and without a single penny having been paid as power and water tariff. Isn’t it a loot of public exchequer? Is the notice for eviction only for the opposition and not for the BJP?”, asked Gagan. Castigating the department of Estates for dancing to the tunes of BJP in executing latter’s policy of persecution against its political adversaries, Singh regretted that the department had been acting as stooge of Saffron brigade which had resorted to ‘witch hunting’ against the leaders who exposed its double standards and raised voice against its acts of duplicity and deceit. He sought early eviction of all ex- Ministers and MLAs from the govt. accommodation besides stern action against the defiant leaders who were illegally occupying the same in collusion with a biased administration. “If the department of Estates continued to be subservient to BJP, Panthers Party along with hundreds of activists shall be forced to hold a dharna outside the office of the Director Estates in the days to come”, warned Gagan. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Capt. Anil Gaur, Ravinder Jamwal, SurinderChouhan, Brij Bhushan Singh, KulbhushanAtri, Amandeep Singh, Pawan deep Singh besides others.
