Lt Governor hosts Republic Day ‘At Home’

JAMMU, JANUARY 26: To celebrate the 71st Republic Day, the Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu hosted an ‘At Home’ at the Lawns of Raj Bhavan, here this afternoon.

Chief Justice Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Geeta Mittal; Sh. K Vijay Kumar, Senior Security Advisor in the Union Home Ministry; Sh. Kewal Kumar Sharma and Sh. Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar- Advisors to the Lt Governor; Judges of the J&K High Court; Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation; Members of Parliament; Sh. BVR Subrahmanyam, Chief Secretary; Senior Army Officers, Republic Day Parade Commanders and significant number of ex-Servicemen and the outstanding achievers in various arenas, leaders of various social and political organizations were among those who attended the ‘At Home’.

The ‘At Home’ was also attended by serving and retired senior Civil, Police, Central Armed Police Force, Army and Air Force officers, Vice Chancellors, war-widows, media persons and prominent citizens.

The Lt Governor and Mrs. Smita Murmu, First Lady, interacted with the invitees and exchanged Republic Day greetings with them.
