| Jammu cements Indo-J&K ties- Vakil | | Asks Jammuites to exhibit traditional wisdom, broadmindedness | | Early Times Reporter

Reminding the people of Jammu of their laudable role during the period of challenges, Senior Congress leader and Minister for Social Welfare Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil has asked Jammuites to exhibit their traditional amity, broadmindedness and nationalism and foil the designs of communal elements.
Addressing the workers of JKPCC from all Districts of Kashmir Division here this afternoon, Mr. Vakil said " anti peace and vested elements want to have a feel day by exploiting religious sentiments of the people and creating wedge between the two regions. We have to work jointly to defeat them and maintain age old amity, brotherhood and integration of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh" he added.
Referring to the stupendous role of the people of Jammu during the turmoil, Mr. Vakil said that Jammu has contributed a lot for the solidarity of Jammu and Kashmir and its peace.
He asked the Congress workers to play their important role in strengthening secular traditions in the state. He said Congress stands for solidarity and unity of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and would not allow communal and regional politics to divide the people. He said Jammu cements Kashmir's relations with India and its people have an important role in this direction. |
