Public including leaders of Shiv Sena J&K, Shiv Sena, Balthakary and leaders of BJP today took out protest rallies, burnt effigies. Defying restrictions imposed under section 144 crpc in R.S. Pura, activists of BJP Shiv Sena burnt effigies and shouted slogans against govt.
Shops and other business establishments remained closed for the day on the call of bandh announced by BJP and others. The leaders who were present in the protest included Ch Sham Lal BJP president distt Samba, activists of Shiv Sena, Sandeep Bhagat, Mangat Lakhotra and others villagers of the area.
Reports said that public from adjoining villages like, Rathana, Slam Chak, Kotli Miyan Fateh, Miran Sahib also came on road to protest and express anguish over govt decision on land to shrine board. |
