Jammu | July 3
Jammu State Morcha (JSM) has condemned the grenade attack by terrorists on the rally organized in Bhaderwah to protest against the Govt decision of handing over the 800 kanal of land previously under the possession of SASB to the Tourism Department; thereby seriously injuring 21 protestants.
It also condemned the brutal attack on the pilgrims, not sparing even the women pilgrims during their back journey at Banihal by some miscreants and the role of police force which remained a mute spectator to the inhuman and barbaric incident.
JSM called upon the Govt. to take stern action against the culprits and against the erring police personnel. “The Morcha also takes a serious note of the report concerning attacks on some persons belonging to minority community,” a press release said.
According to the press release, Jammu State Morcha President Varinder Gupta said it is people’s fight against the Kashmiri leaders who are bent upon to create communal tension in Jammu and Kashmir State and disturb the peace of the state.
“We are fighting for justice, against the Kashmiri hegemony and against the unconstitutional and unilateral decision of the Government which succumbed to the pressure of the communal, fundamentalist and secessionist forces of the Valley ignoring the interests of the people of Jammu region and Hindus in particular.”
He welcomed the decision of the Sangrash Samiti for intensifying the agitation to continue the struggle till the Government withdraws the order revoking the allotment to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
