| Taj visits Marwah, Wardwan, Kishtwar | | Assesses stock supply position | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | July 3 Minister for CAPD Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din today visited Marwah, Wardwan and Kishtwar areas through chopper to assess the stock and supply position of edibles and other essential commodities there. He was accompanied by Chairman Handicrafts Development Corporation Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Commissioner Secretary CAPD, Mr. Khalid Habib and Assistant Director CAPD Anantnag Mr. R. A. Wani. Mr. Taj interacted with the officers and functionaries of CAPD in these areas and discussed the stock and supply position of food grains. He was informed that sufficient stocks have been made available in these areas and winter dumping would also be started very soon. He asked the officers to ensure adequate stocks of food grains and other essential in these remote areas and ensure smooth distribution to the rationees through CAPD retail outlets. The Minister also inspected the completion work of Matigawaran-Margan-Inshan road and asked the concerned to throw open the road before 10th of July, 2008 so that 30 to 40 truck loads are sent to these areas on daily basis. The Minister also met several deputations and redressed their grievances on the spot by issuing necessary directions to the concerned officers. |
