“People of Jammu are known for their brotherhood and will remain till time immortal,” this was stated by corporator of Gujjar Nagar Rashida Begum. She said that unfortunately some elements are hell bent on disturbing communal harmony because of vested interests and are sowing seeds of hatred between Hindus and Muslims. She said that Muslims too are against the government decision on the land taken from SASB. She said that war of communalism is looming large and demanded security for the people of rural areas such as Sandhi, Chattah and adjoining areas. Citing the example of brotherhood she said that being corporator she spent rupees twenty lakh on construction of a grave yard and constructed a temple in Gujjar Nagar area. She requested the Hindus of Jammu to observe calmness and to those who are playing vote politics to let prevail the brotherhood between Hindu and Muslim community. |
