Appeal made to resolve the SASB issue
7/5/2008 11:12:08 PM
Early Times Reporter
Jammu | July 5
A well-know social activist and a former student leader Shuja Zafar today urged the people of Jammu to maintain peace and calm, saying the annual yatra has been a shinning symbol of the deeply secular traditions and glorious ethos of this pluralistic state.
He appealed the protesting people to stop targeting local Muslims as they have committed no fault. The decision on providing or taking away of the land to SASB was something in which local Muslims had played no role, he added.
Zafar said the matter can be solved on a discussion table where besides Govt and SASB officials, members of both the communities can work out an amicable solution that suits both the community.
