| Was the decision to return land was of SASB or Vohras? | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 5 National President of Amarnath Yatra welfare organisation Rajinder Sharma has shot off a letter to Chairman of the Shri Amarnath Shrine board urging him to made it clear whether the decision conveyed to the state govt with regard to 39.88 hectares of land was unanimously taken by the board or was it purely your own decision to handover the land to the government. In his letter to the board chairman the President of the Amarnath Yatra welfare organisation has also made mention of the fact that the yatra was being conducted smoothly by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board for the last five years then what prompted the board to take a sudden decision to handover the yatra to the State Government. "Whether this was your personal decision or it had the backing of all the board members", Sharma said in his letter. Referring to another crucial issue Sharma has made mention of the installation of artificial marble lingam near the original lingam at holy cave. "This is a highly sensitive issue we would request you not to go for this artificial step which will hurt the religious feelings of the millions of Hindus all over the country and abroad. We had already conveyed our feelings to this effect vide our letter dated 08.05.2008 in a letter addressed to the previous Governor. |
