NC issues whip against trust vote

Lifting the curtains, the National Conference today officially announced that it will vote against the trust vote sought by Ghulam Nabi Azad government in legislative assembly
While the Peoples Democratic Party and the Panthers Party had already announced their whips the National Conference was yet to officially issue whip. “We have told all our members to remain present and vote against the confidence motion being sought by the government”, NC’s chief whip Mubarak Gul said.
A party spokesman said that the National Conference Legislature Party has unanimously decided to caste vote against the motion of confidence in the council of Ministers to be moved on Monday July 7 on the floor of the House.
The party meeting conducted under the chairmanship of Omar Abdullah decided that all the members of the National Conference Legislative Party will vote against the Government motion, the decision was also endorsed by the Chief Patron of the Party Dr. Farooq Abdullah who is presently abroad.
The Chief Whip of the Party Mubarak Ahmad Gul issued a three line whip to all the members of the Legislative Assembly belonging to J&K National Conference in this regard. The meeting was attended by all the members of the Legislature belonging to J&K National Conference.
Meanwhile, the Legislature Party condemned the attack on Asari Sharief Jenab Sahib Soura Holy Shrine and urged the Govt. to institute a High Level probe into the incident and bring the culprits to book. The meeting of the Legislature Party expressed concern about the situation in Jammu and urged the Govt. to take appropriate steps to defuse the situation.
The party also urged the Government to ensure that the Amarnath Yatra is conducted peacefully and the best possible arrangements are made for the Yatries. The meeting also condemned the attack on the Mediamen in Srinagar and expressed their deep concern in the matter.
