| BJP flays hospital staff for mistreatment of Majit’s corpse | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | July 7
BJP today condemned the attitude of hospital authorities and administration, the way they have conducted post-mortem of Manjit during night and assured all family members including father, mother, sister and mother-in-law that dead body will be handed over at 8:00 a.m. morning as they cannot conduct the post-mortem during night. But to utter surprise the dead body was not handed over to the parents and was shifted from the hospital to unknown destination. An application for registration of FIR against Distt. Megistrate Jammu, SSP Jammu, Superintendent Hospital Medical College, Jammu was moved and was handed over to DSP Bakshi Nagar against proper receipt by BJP State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora (Adv.).
State President Ashok Khajuria, former State President Dr. Nirmal Singh were also present and addressed the gathering thereafter they got information from authorities that dead body of Manjit was shifted during night at Doda and delegation of BJP led by Dr. Nirmal Singh, State Secretary Jyoti Parkash Sharma and Narinder Kumar left for Doda alongwith family members to join the last rites/funeral ceremony of late Manjit Kumar and a financial help of Rs. 20,000 was immediately handed over by Dr. Nirmal Singh to the family members on behalf of BJP and he assured that he will take up matter with the central leadership and will provide more assistance to the family members. |
