Srinagar | July 7
The Communist Party of India (M) today said the fall of the Congress government headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad was a major setback to the political process in the state.
State secretary of the CPI(M) Mohammad Yousuf Targami, without naming anyone, said some people acted very irresponsibly leading to political unrest in the state.
''At a time when the state was passing through a crisis, it was our duty to fight against it unitedly,'' Mr Targami told UNI after Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad submitted his resignation to Governor N N Vohra.
Targami, leader of the CPI(M) in the assembly, said the peace process, which had made progress during all these years, suffered a setback.
