Sessions Court grants interim bail to councilor

Principal Sessions Judge Jammu JR Kotwal today granted interim bail to Corporator Sheela Handoo and nine others who were arrested by the Domana Police for defying curfew restrictions, while they were protesting against the Govt order of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board land.
Court after hearing public prosecutor EA Tak appearing for the State and battery of lawyers appearing for the arrested persons and after considering the facts and arguments of both the sides granted interim bail to Sheela Handoo, Balbir Singh, Angrez Singh, Buphinder Singh, Keshav Singh, Purshtom, Romesh Lal, Suresh, Rakesh and Man Bhadur till further orders from the Court.
In the meanwhile Duty Magistrate MS Parihar granted bail to more than 30 persons who were arrested by the Police during the curfew period. In all the bail applications the Advocates of Free Legal Aid Committee constituted by the BAJ appeared. JNF
