The Electoral Roll Observer for Leh and Kargil Districts, Sh. Tashi Dorjey today reviewed the Election Photo Identity Card preparation process at a meeting at Leh today.
The meeting was attended by District Election Officer, Leh Dr. M.K Bhandari, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sonam Gyaltson Assistant Commissioner Mr. Surat Singh, SDM Nyoma Mr. Tsering Nroboo, Tehsildar Leh Mr. Mutup, Tesildar Sumoor, Election Naib Tehsildar and others election related officials.
The District Election Officer Dr. M.K Bhandari who is also the Deputy Commissioner, Leh said that Booth Level Officers are on the process for updation of Electoral Roll for identification of new entries, deletions and transposition etc. Dr. Bhandari further said that BLOs were also given training in preparation of Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC).
The Election Roll Observer instructed the Election functionaries for strictly adhere to the instructions of the Election Commission in enrolment of new entries, deletions and transpositions of voters. He said that updation in respect of new entries, deletions etc of eligible voters would have to be made till the election is declared.
Mr. Dorjey earlier had such meetings with District Election Officer Kargil . On way to Leh from Kargil Mr. Dorjey had a meeting with SDM Khaltse Mr. G.M Brakboo and he undertook inspection of EPIC process works at Khalsi. |
