| Indo-Pak talks to focus on new CBMs | | | New Delhi | July 7 Pakistan and India will discuss “new cross-Line of Control (LoC)” confidence building measures (CBMs) in a Working Group meeting scheduled for July 10 in Islamabad. The CBMs on the agenda include bus, trade and truck services across the disputed border. Talking to APP, the Pakistan deputy high commissioner to New Delhi said that an Indian delegation would travel to Pakistan to attend the meeting and take decisions regarding the measures announced in May 2008 in Islamabad after the meeting of foreign ministers of both the countries. Sources privy to the developments said both the countries were planning a truck service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, and would discuss a list of the items to be traded. The first meeting of the group was held in May 2006 in New Delhi. The foreign secretaries of both the countries will meet here on July 21-22 to launch the fifth Round of the Composite Dialogue. |
