Centre failed to curb inflation, hike in LPG price: Congress | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 16: District Congress Committee, Jammu Rural criticized the BJP Government at the Centre for its failure to curb inflation and price rise of essential commodities. Addressing a meeting of party workers at Nardani in Raipur Domana Assembly constituency, Hari Singh Chib, President DCC Rural said that the Central Government headed by Narendra Modi had completely failed to take meaningful steps to curb menace of inflation and rise in prices of essential commodities. Condemning the rise in the price of LPG cylinders, Chib said that price rise has affected the common man. The economic slowdown in the country has affected industries and employment in the country. Those who raise their voice against the policies of the government are booked under the Sedition Act, he asserted. DCC Rural President said that the price of non-subsidised LPG cylinders has been increased by Rs 149 per cylinder all of a sudden. Owing to the wrong policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the country is facing distress and the banks are going bankrupt. Addressing the meeting, Uday Bhanu Chib, President J&K Congress expressed resentment against the BJP Government for its anti-youth policies. He lambasted BJP for playing with the future of unemployed youth of J&K who are working hard by giving their day and night. Chib emphasized that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to give two crore jobs every year but instead of providing jobs the BJP leaders are playing with the sentiments and future of J&K unemployed youth by withdrawing five-year age relaxation in the civil services examination. |
