The Ghulam Nabi Azad led congress government was bound to fall as it was bound to fall as it bowed before the communal demand of the separatists and Kashmir centric parties like PDP and NC says Digvijay Singh, secretary general, Jammu State Morcha (P) while addressing a press conference at Vijaypur today. While welcoming the fall of the state government led by Azad, Singh said this was a minority government and has no legal and moral right to continue in the present circumstances. He said that Ghulam Nabi Azad had insulted and hurt the sentiments of the people of Jammu region particularly and the entire country by saying in the press conference that the people of Jammu should have distributed sweets on the land revocation decision.
Singh said that it would have been better on the part of Azad that before taking any decision he should have called a meeting of all political parties and social organizations of Jammu to find the solution of the situation. But instead of taking into organizations dancing on the tunes of Pakistan. He termed the revocation of land allotment pitching one community against the other. He described the politics of Kashmir centric parties a threat to the secularism in India. He further said that Azad led government allowed the situation to worsen in the state and did nothing to improve the situation, so it could not escape of its responsibility, the release added. |
