We will fight for 'political power for Jammu': Khajuria

State BJP Chief Ashok Khajuria on Thursday made it clear that earning 'Political power for Jammu is the BJP's roadmap for the coming state assembly elections.
Addressing a joint press conference here at oparty headquarters BJP chief flanked by former chier Nirmal Singh and vice President Prof Hari Om said tat political power for Jammu can be achieved when nationalist people of Jammu do not divide their votes and unitedly vote for the BJP.
He said if Jammu votes in one direction and refuses to get divided no body can take us for granted.This is the only key to political power for Jammu,Khajuria said.Issuing an appealt o the nationalists in other regions for support BJP leader said we are hoping to win majority seats in Jammu region to ensure voice of Jammu is heard every where and people do not take people eof Jammu lightly.He said the BJp will not align with known political opponents PDP,NC and congress.He said these three political parties are one as far as their politics and ultimate political goals are concerned.He said the PDP and the NC have publicly declared that they would support the congress on the issue of Indo-US nuclear deal.
On the occasion BJP state unit chief said that in the coming days BJP would extend unflinching support to the Shri Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti which is committed to taking the ongoing agitation to a logical conclusion so that shri Amarnath shrin board is restored to its priustine glory and ensures ouster of Gove rnor NN Vohra.
Meanwhile, Jammu Joint Student's Federation (JJSF) on Thursday said it would launch a massive agitation against the governor and the congress for playing with the sentiments of the people.
Addressing a press conference here JJSF president Pushpinder Singh said, ''The Centre should immediately recall the Governor, who is responsible for the present turmoil in the state,'' he said adding that the separatists and fundamentalists including PDP patron Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed, Mehbooba Mufti, senior party leader M H Beig should also be arrested for their incriminating utterances, which brought the routine life to a standstill.
He said the JJSF was one of the constituents of the Baba Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti, who decided to defer the agitation for one week demanding removal of Mr Vohra.
''If the samiti fails to continue with the agitation, the JJSF will launch a massive protest and would keep the issue alive untill the demands were not accepted,'' Mr Singh asserted.
