| Political activity picking pace, politicaians moving freely | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 10 Sensing that soaring political temperatures were coming down gradually leaders of various political parties are now making effort to come out in the public and holding meetings to boost morale of the parety workers and supporters.For last two weeks poltical activity which was picking pace had come to a stand still during ongoing agitation. Leaders from Congress ,PDP and NC were not moving freely fearing public outcry as they were perceived to be in opposition. Joining the band wagon leaders of National Conference gathered here at the Sher-e-Kashmir bhawan in Jammu and attended party meeting.Several congress leaders have also started establishing contacts with their supporters in their constituencies.Senior Congress leader Mangat Ram Sharma and seberal others who are back in Jammu are meeting supporters in their area and holding discussions with them on the outcome of the agitation. Pronvincial president of the National Conference Ajay Sadhotra first of all utlised the occasion to read a congratulatory message addressed to the people of Jammu for maintaining communal harmony in the region. He said National Conference leadership salutes the people of Jammu for maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood inspite provocations. "It is praise worthy that people of Jammu have again arose to the occasion and shown tolerance". He asked the people to be aware of such forces who are hell bent upon playing vote politics on the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and are trying to create wedge between Jammu & Kashmir. "Religion should not be mixed up with politics and said such trend is dangerous for the country as well as the state", he said. He asked the party functionaries and workers to work for upholding communal harmony and brotherhood and also identify themselves with the people and solve the day to day problems of the common people. |
