Srinagar, Feb 25
Security forces have arrested an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of a militant outfit in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said here on Tuesday.
They said that following specific information, security forces raided a particular area in Kulbugh in Pulwama late on Monday night. “During the operation an OGW was arrested,” they said.
The identity of the OGW was not immediately clear, they said, adding more details are awaited.
Security forces have come down heavily from last less than two months on OGWs, who provide logistic support and shelter to militants. So far, since January 2020, about 50 OGWs of different militant outfits have been arrested in Kashmir valley while about 25 militants have been killed in 12 operations in J&K.
