| Kesar criticizes division of J-K | | | Early Times Reporter

The regional secretary CPI (M) Sham Prasad Kesar while addressing party members criticized some groups and political parties for demanding bifurcation of state. He said those who talk of separation are, in fact, avoiding the real issue, which is equitable and equal opportunities for all regions to grow according to their geniuses. The supposedly magic wand of separation of regions cannot make the real issue disappear. The Process of divisions and sub-divisions can only lead to infinite divisions and then to nowhere. He said an irreversible movement for a genuine sharing of power is the only means to keep together the state of Jammu and Kashmir and added this requires a new mind set and a new cultural of governance. Any break in the state’s unity will have disastrous consequences for the whole south Asian region, apart from causing a permanent disruption in the social fabric of the state. |
