| Azad to be blamed for Governor's rule: Karra | | |

Srinagar, July 11- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said Ghulam Nabi Azad and his reckless coterie and not PDP are to be blamed for the imposition of Governor's rule in the State.
Reacting to the latest utterances of Abdul Gani Vakil and company in this regard, senior PDP leader Tariq Hameed Karra said instead of blaming PDP for the Governor's rule, the State Congress leaders should blame Azad for creating favorable circumstances for the present scenario. "If Azad was sincere in his dealings with the PDP, he could have withdrawn the order before the PDP pulled of the Government," he said and added that as Azad was confident of the National Conference supporting his Government, he wanted to see PDP out at the earliest and cobble up an alternative alliance. "But at the end all his ill-conceived political calculations proved miserably wide of the mark and Azad had to sallow the bitter pill of bowing out," he said.
Karra remarked that why the people like Vakil and Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, who was appallingly removed from the State cabinet, are now frustrated over the loss of power and are blaming PDP for their debacle. "It was Vakil and his associates who were always sticking out their neck and asking PDP to leave the Government, and if PDP has taken that step now, why are Vakil and company suddenly perturbed," he asked.
Karra said it is now clear that Azad was unfortunately relying more on the advice of the claptrap people around him than listening and acting on political logic, and the result is there for everybody to see. "If Azad would have ever tried to feel pulse of the people, instead of getting swayed by the paeans of the bunch of sycophants who were always misleading him, the State would have been saved from coming face to face with the ugly situation it is in today," he said and added that the some imprudent Congress have created the situation and let them ace it now. |
