Foreigners trekking near LoC intercepted

Srinagar | July 11 :
The Army has intercepted a group of foreign tourists in Rafiabad area of Baramulla district as they were not carrying any documents while trekking in an area close to the line of control (LoC).
“An army patrol met with a group of six persons including four foreigners at Qazinag in Rafiabad area. They were not carrying any documents and hence were being accompanied to the nearest police station as per rules,” Army spokesman Col Uma Shankar said here.
He said the tourists were making thier way downhill to Boniyar police station in Uri tehsil of the district.
He said the army patrol had asked the tourists to produce the inner line permit which is required for foreigners for travelling to areas close to LoC which are normally out of bounds for them.
