| 3 army men among 5 killed in road mishaps | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu, July 11- Five persons including three army men were killed while 42 others sustained injuries in different road accidents across Jammu region during the last 24 hours. One Zen Car bearing registration number JK01F/ 2494 was on its way from Doda to Bhaderwah, when reached at Malnai rolled down, and two persons namely Mohd Sajad Lone, s/o Ab. Aziz Lone, r/o Sungli and SPO Kousar Niwaz, s/o Mohd Shafi Sheikh, r/o Neeli Baless were critically injured. The injured were rushed to district hospital Doda. Later on SPO Kousar Niwaz succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. An army Truck of 13-RR, on way from Srinagar to Jammu, rolled down near Kalla Kuper falling under the jurisdiction of police station Nagrota, resulting on the spot death of Subedar Mehtab Singh; Sepoy Shashi Bhushan and driver Harvinder Singh. The dead bodies were shifted to sub- district Hospital Dansai for postmortem. A motorcycle bearing registration number PB35J/ 0559 on way from Lakhri to Nagrota falling under the jurisdiction of police station Nagrota met with an accident at Nagrota Mandir, resulting on spot death of the motorcyclist namely Ashok Kumar, s/o Shambu Ram, r/o Lakhri and injured a pedestrian namely Shiv Nath, s/o Mantu, r/o Chob Panji. Police has registered a case in this regard. A Bus bearing registration number JK02AA/9553 on way from Jammu to Poonch met with an accident at Madana falling under the jurisdiction of police station Surankot Poonch, resulting injuries to 30 passengers. Another Bus bearing registration number JK12/1697 on way from Surankote to Poonch met with an accident at Shein Dhara falling under the jurisdiction of police station Mandi, resulting injuries to five persons. All injured have been rushed to hospital for treatment.
