Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 12 BJP State President Ashok Khajuria, accompanied by other leaders of the party, today visited the residence of martyr Ramesh Chander, who laid down his precious life in the ongoing agitation, in Peermitha locality of the Jammu city and handed over a cheque of Rs. 30,000 Shubh Kiran, the widow of the deceased, in presence of Ram Lubhaya, President Kashyap Rajput Biradari. Ashok Khajuria, while expressing his heart felt sympathies with the martyr’s family, said that Ramesh Chander got martyrdom while fighting for the noble cause and the society will always remember his role during the Shri Amarnath Yatra agitation. The BJP chief, on this occasion, urged the Inspector General of Police to make immediate provision for allotment of accommodation in Police Quarters to the family of martyr Ramesh Chander as he was putting up in a rented accommodation and after his demise the wife is not in a position to pay the monthly rent as she has to take care of the small children, one of whom is handicapped. Sat Sharma, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Sanjiv Gupta, Subhash Gupta, Pawan Pandoh, Vijay Mehra, Kuldeep Kandhari, Vidya Devi and Chaman Lal were prominent among those who accompanied the BJP chief during his visit. |
