Stop politicking over SASB issue: Pathania
7/12/2008 11:41:31 PM

Jammu | July 12
R.S. Pathnia, general secretary, Pradesh youth congress, while addressing a gathering of congress workers drawn from far-flung pockets of the tehsil fired a salve on the political parties trying to churn out cheap publicity and unwanted mileage out of the SASB land allotment issue.
As per a release, he warned these parties that the issue is related to play
Politics with the sensitive issue shall not be tolerated easily. While vindicating the stand of Azad led government, he said that it was truly concerned about the sentimental attachments of Hindus with Baba Amarnath and, that is why, ad viewing the level of astha of Hindus associated with it, a chunk of land measuring 800 kanals was observed to be transferred in SASB’s favor. But the said land allotment was preceded by a host of reactionary response in the valley, and peeved and perplexed by it, SASB wrote a letter to the state government expressing its volition to not to take possession of the land and it was only after the refusal of SASB to assume possession of land, that the state transferred the land to the department of Tourism with a view to erecting huts there. Whereas the state is better equipped and better capable to make arrangements for the yatra, and particularly in the backdrop of the refusal of SASB to take over the land, therefore there is no rationale in agitating the matter. The entire issue has unduly been politicized with an eye on the ensuing polls, the release added.
