| BJP seeks political equality for Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter

The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has sought political equality for Jammu, the only solution to the various problems facing the State.
“Jammu is now more than determined to fight for political power as it is imperative for the economic development and for bringing to an end the political and economic discrimination,” the state BJP chief Ashok Khajuria said here today.
“Political power for Jammu is now the BJP’s road-map for the coming State Assembly elections and this aim can be achieved when nationalists of this region don’t divide their votes.”
The party sources said that the initiative for making political equality the party’s main poll issue was taken by its senior party leader and former Law Minister Arun Jaitely. He had asked the State unit to consider the proposal. It has also been decided that the party would try to make the agenda of political equality the focus of its election campaign for the Assembly elections. |
