In a massive pre-election shakeup in top middle rungs of the Civil Administration and Police, the Government today ordered transfers and postings of over hundred officers. Most of the officers shifted in today’s exercise had either completed their tenure or suited the new department best, an order issued by the government reflected.
Before affecting this major administrative reshuffle, the Governor NN Vohra had a detailed meeting with the Chief Secretary SS Kapur and the Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda on inputs on track record and efficiency of officers. An official spokesman for the Governor said that the officers with unblemished record have been given key assignments.
According to the order, S.V. Bhave, IAS, Principal Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi is transferred and posted as Financial Commissioner (Coordination), New Delhi vice Shri S.S. Sahni.

the officers associated with the Border Area Development Programmes will ensure that they attend the meeting scheduled to be held on 14th July, 2008.
Advance T.E. as admissible under rules is also sanctioned in favour of the officers in whose case change of station is involved. |
