| JU research scholars deprived of facilities: JURSEA | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 13 “The PHD scholars of university of Jammu are facing number of difficulties in campus and as such are not in a position to carry out their research work in a proper manner.” This was alleged by the president of JURSEA Vikas Sharma at a press conference held here today. He said central library of the campus is facing shortage of books, especially new books, which the scholars need badly besides it get difficult for the scholars to sit inside the library as there is no air-conditioner. He urged upon the authorities that after submitting the thesis by the scholars, viva test be held within two months so that students do not feel any problem. Sharma further said scholars of environment sciences, psychology, Buddhist studies and education have no room facility and urged upon the university authorities that needful in this regard be done soon, so that scholars do not feel any problem in their research work. Kamaldeep Singh, spokesman of JURSEA on the occasion said, that there is no proper method for re-checking and re-evaluation of M.Phill examination papers, and added a number of times it has been notified that majority of research scholars have to face the face rivalry from teachers lobby and deliberately fail them. Among others present during the conference were Gurcharan Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Jaswinder Singh. |
