| SPO killed in grenade attack | | | Early Times Reporter

A special police officer (SPO) was killed and two others critically injured in a grenade attack on district police lines in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
An unidentified militant hurled a grenade on district police line in Doda town at around 1.45 pm and it exploded inside the complex, killing SPO Manzoor Ahmed Banday on the spot, official sources said.
Two other SPOs - Babu Ram and Naseeb Singh were critically injured in the blast and were taken to hospital in Doda, where their condition was stated to be serious.
Police and CRPF launched a search operation in the area to track down the militant responsible for the act, they said. |
