| BJP suspects Azad's relatives hand in firing incident at Bhaderwah | | Demand investigation, action against culprits | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 14 Suspecting involvement of Ghulam Nabi Azad's relatives behind the firing incident at Bhaderwah in which one person was killed and nineteen others injured when the agitators protesting against the government's land revocation order to SASB, Bhartia Janta Party (BJP) has demanded the immediate investigations and booking of culprits. Addressing media persons here on Monday, State General Secretary and former MLA Bali Bhagat served forty-eight hours ultimatum to the administration to book the culprits responsible for killing a youth and injuring nineteen others for their only fault of raising their voice against the government decision. Expressing grave concern over the biased attitude of District administration, he accused the administration of remaining as mute spectators as former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's cousin Javeed Azad's PSOs had fired on those agitating peacefully on the issue of Shri Amarnath Shrine Land. He said an FIR against the 11 identified persons have been registered through court at Bhaderwah today and it is now the duty of the administration to arrest forthwith these people. Coming down heavily on Kashmir based politicians for raising hue and cry over the land diversion to SASB at Baltal, Bhagat said that Hindus did not oppose when pampore Islamic University was allotted 2000 kanals of government land and 4100 kanals of government land to Baba Ghulam Badshah University at Rajouri. "There are 52 Muslims countries in the world, but not even single country except India provides subsidy to Haj pilgrims and despite the fact that this is a Hindhu majority country such a facility is available to the Muslims," he said and added that the unity displayed by Kashmir based politicians was an eye opener for the central leadership who keep on appeasing them for nothing. |
