| Suman Bhagar takes over as distt Cong president rural | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | July 14
Suman Lata Bhagat senior Congress leader and former minister today took over as DCC rural president in presence of Pradesh congress president, Saif-ud-din Soz and large number of party workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Soz said Congress being the oldest party in the country, has always worked for the upliftment of downtrodden people of the country. While congratulating Suman on assuming the charge, Soz said that under her leadership rural constituencies in Jammu province will get new look and she will use all efforts to unite the workers. He on the occasion gave assurance to people that problem of power supply will be solved soon.
Addressing the party workers Suman said that she would continue working for the betterment of the people of rural area, and do her best for the responsibility which is given by the party president to her. She also said that being a lady she would prefer to give chance to the women of the rural areas to come forward and work for the betterment of the society and strengthen the party at gross level.
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were MLC, R.S. Chib, MP Lal Singh, Dharam Pal Sharma, Darshan Raina and Bhushan lal Dogra. |
