Crime Branch Jammu arrested one Naib Tehsildar identified as Mohd Asgar s/o Ghulam Rasool r/o Thuroo,Mahore for cheating and grabbing rupees 20000 from one Chain Singh s/o Faqir Singh r/o Bahu Fort,Jammu.The complainant lodged a written complaint with Crime Branch Jammu duly endorsed by Ld Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu alleging therein that in the year 2006 he met with the accused in Tehsil office Jammu where he went to apply before the revenue authorities for inclusion of his name in revenue records as he had constructed a house in the land measuring eight marlas situated at Bahu Fort.Since both hailed from the same areas the accused asked him to pay rupees 20000 for the the purpose as fee charges.As he was not aware of the procedure hence fell into his trap and paid the amount to him in presence of one Tirth Ram,sarpanch of village Sarote,at the residence of the accused.The accused after few days handed over the documents to the complainant containing the signature of the Patwari Bahu Fort and Tehsildar Jammu.The documents were taken to concerned Patwari where he was stunned to know that the same were false and forged. Crime Branch after going through the case collected the evidences that the said Naib Tehsildar had cheated the complainant and grabbed rupees 20000 from him by way of procuring forged and factitious documents with fraudulent means. |
