| JRB computerized branch opened at Kartholi | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 14 A fully computerized branch of Jammu Rural Bank (JRB) was inaugurated at village Kartholi, by the executive director of J&K Bank Ashok Mehta today. The branch is the extension counter of JRB, Sarore. With the opening of this branch number of branches has gone up to 96. Speaking on the occasion, Mehta highlighted the role of RRB’s in general and Jammu Rural Bank in particular for rural development. He stated that being computerized branch it will be in a position to provide better services to its clientele. Chairman of the Bank O.P. Sharma also spoke on the occasion and explained that Jammu Rural Bank with a network of 92 branches and 4 extensions counters, covering five districts in the state of J&K, with business volume of around 100 crores, is meeting the banking needs of the people with local feel and rural orientation. He further stated that farmers club has been formed at village Sarore, which is also first of its kind in the Jammu region. Farmers Club Members have work for its betterment/development. He enjoined upon the gathering that they should come forward for availing various credit facilities like KCG, GCG, Trade, transport, services etc. in addition to life and non-life insurance facilities and also knock them to form SHGs for their over all economic development. Others who attended the function included Mohit, K.N. Dhar, Chief (I&V), Suresh Koul, Sr. Manager (Personal), H.S. Samyal, Area Manager, Jammu. S. Chanan Singh Toor, Sr. Manager of the branch presented the vote of thanks. |
