Various problems faced by Jammu people since 194 7 were discussed in a meeting of selected committee of Jammu, constituted by JKNPP, Chairman Prof. Bhim Singh here today.
In the meeting which was presided order by ex MLA Rishi Kumar Kaushal certified four major issues being faced by the Jammu people, which as political discrimination, delimitation of assembly constituencies, settlement of refugees from Pakistan etc. Members also discussed the instrument of occasion signed by Late Maharaja Hari Singh. Kaushal said discussion will continue and will be accepted by all the members present in the meeting.
The notables who took part in the meeting were former vice- chanceller, Prof. MR Puri, Retd, Maj: Generl Goverdhan Singh, Retd Principal Vijay Laxmi, Advocates, DC Raina, SS Lohar, Ghulam Ali Engineer, Uday Chand, H.C Jhalmeria and Balbir Singh. On the occasion the membership of selected committee has raised to 13 from nine members.
The new member are Dr. Zahour-u-Din, DC Raina, Dr. Chowdary, Anita Thakur, H.C Jhalmeria and Vijay Laxmi. |
