| Army office washed in flash floods | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 16 A senior army officer of the rank of Lt Colonel was today swept away in flash floods while he was crossing a causeway in Nagrota. According to defence spokesman Lt. Col S D Goswami, '' 41 year old Lt. Col. Indranuj Borgohain of 116 Engineer Regiment died when he was washed away by water currents early this morning around 0600 hours while crossing a causeway. A resident of Dibrugarh in Assam the army officer was posted at Nagrota and was to join flood rescue team when the mishap took place. Police has also registered a separate FIR while a court of inquiry has been ordered, he added. |
