| Militant killed in ongoing encounter | | | Early Times Reporter

A militant and a policeman were killed in an ongoing encounter in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir today, a police spokesman said.
Ten security force personnel, including four army jawans and three policemen, were injured in the initial cross-fire which began last night between security forces and two militants holed up in a house in Baramulla district.
The gunbattle started at Warpora-Sopore area, 60 kms from here, as militants hiding in a house opened fire on the joint search party of police and army, the spokesman said.
A militant was killed and one policeman succumbed to his injuries early today in the firefight that was going on when last reports were received. |
