Several parties hold protest demonstrations

In response to Sri Amarnath Shrine Board Sangrash Samiti’s bandh call, Jammu State Morcha, Hindustan Shiv Sena and Jammu Warriors’ Front held massive protest demonstrations against the decision of Government in canceling of land allotment to Shrine Board. Protesters burnt the copies of Shrine Board act 2002 and criticized the functioning of the Governor N.N Vohra.
Jammu State Morcha workers at Vijaypur burnt effigy of J-K Government. Addressing the protestors, General Secretary of Morcha, Digvijay Singh appealed the people to stand united for fighting a decisive battle against the fundamentalist, Kashmir centric parties and against the anti- Jammu mentality of Valley leaders.
Jammu Warriors Front, led its by its president Rajesh Gupta held a protest rally in front of Raj Bhawan and criticized the action of Governor N.N Vohra. He said Vohra is befooling the Hindu masses. Gupta further said, till land is not re-allotted to Shrine Board, agitation will continue. He also said that Jammuties will no more tolerate discrimination and will fight together for it.
Shiv Sena Hindustan workers also took out protest rally which passed through various bazaar of the city. They burnt up the effigies of Mehbooba Mufti, and other leaders who played a mischievous role in land issue. President of Shiv Sena, Dimply Kohli, while addressing the protestors said, agitation will continue till land is not handed over to Shrine Board.
Another protest rally was held at Purkhoo migrant camp.
