| Lt Col washed away | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 16 In a spine chilling yet mysterious tragedy, a senior Army Officer lost his life to flash floods in Nagrota area. Army officer of the rank of Lt Colonel was today swept away in flash floods while he was crossing a causeway in Nagrota area on the outskirts of Jammu. According to defence spokesman Lt. Col S D Goswami, '' 41 year old Lt. Col. Indranuj Borgohain of 116 Engineer Regiment died when he was washed away by water currents early this morning around early this morning while crossing a causeway. A resident of Dibrugarh in Assam the army officer was posted at Nagrota and was to join flood rescue team when the mishap took place. Police has also registered a separate FIR while a court of inquiry has been ordered, he added. |
