| ‘Governor is not understating gravity’ | | | Early Times Reporter

The convener of the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti, Advocate Leela Kiran Sharma says that the ongoing agitation will continue till the set target is achieved though it may evolve different strategies in view of emerging situations. Leela Kiran EARLY TIMES, “the Governor does not understand the gravity of situation and we are of the opinion that too is playing to tunes of separatists and fundamentalists”. He added, we have a peaceful agitation going on and it will continue till the land is restored to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and sentiments of the people are respected. He said that if the Governor fails to respect the public sentiments, the agitation may be intensified. “We know that this matter can not resolved in a day or two or with just one shut down…but we are also ready to go to any extent”. Advocate Sharma again warned of blocking the economic supplies to the Kashmir Valley if the present stand of the government continued. When asked about the repeated pleas of the Governor for a dialogue, Sharma said, “there is no point of discussion with the Governor except the restoration of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board. Let him restore the land first then there is no hitch in talking. |
