| Seminar on aftermath of Bird flu held | | | Early Times Reporter Pulwama | July 18 With a mission to uplift socio-economic condition of Kashmir Valley Poultry farmers, a technical Seminar was conducted here today on the subject "Aftermath of Bird Flu and role of Bio-Security and Poultry Nutrition". Dr. Ramesh Thaper, senior Consultant ASA-IM, highlighted the benefits of SOY in Poultry feed. In future the poultry feed may be supplemented with FULL FAT SOY as a rich source of energy to meet requirements of climatic condition. He assured to the poultry farmers the availability of FULL FAT SOY. Dr. N.K. Mahajan, Disease Investigation Officer, Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar, discussed the various precautions to be taken at farm to prevent the diseases. An eminent Poultry Consultant expressed his concern over the housing and management conditions in the Valley. Other experts expressed serious concern over the rising cost of raw materials, resulting in high cost of feed. He promised that he will provide continuously well-balanced feed specially formulated for Kashmir Valley. |
