| Violence is no solution, it only hampers peace process: PDP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 18 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti and PDP senior leader Farooq Assadullah Mir have condemned the grenade blast in Banihal in which over 30 people including women and children were injured, today. Mufti while expressing solidarity with the victims of the blast, said incidents like this cause great pain and agony to common people besides innocents losing their lives. "Violence is no solution at all. It only hampers the peace process which guarantees the amicable and honorable solution to the vexed issue," she added. She added that spilling of blood is highly condemnable and no civil society can accept this. Ms Mufti observed that those who are indulging in such activity are undermining the peoples urge for peace and normalcy in the State. She said at a time when the entire world has stood up against violence as a means to put forward ones point of view, those who are still indulging in such heinous acts should ponder over the fact that they are troubling their own people. The PDP president said that violence does not serve any purpose but only puts people to inconvenience and lot of pain. She called for giving peace a chance so that the gains of the reconciliation process for the people of the state are consolidated. Meanwhile, PDP senior leader Farooq Assadullah Mir expressed shock over the casualties in the blast and conveyed his heartfelt sympathy with the bereaved family. He urged for adequate and urgent treatment of the injured in the blast. |
