| VDC member among 3 abducted by the ultras | | | Early Times Reporter
Jammu | July 18
Three civilians including a VDC member were kidnapped by the militants from Ghar Katyas under the jurisdiction of PP Dudu in district Udhampur this afternoon
Reports said , that some militants caught hold of three civilians namely Darshan Singh r/o Ghar Katyas, Kashmir Singh and Om Parkash r/o Thilroo, Dudu at Lamba Ghat , Farosh Nallah , Dudu where they have gone for the collection of “Guchis” a forest produce.
Darshan Singh managed to escape from the clutches of the militants and have been injured at the head.
The body of Kashmir Singh was recovered about ½ Km away from the place of incident and Om Parkash who happens to be a VDC member is missing as yet. They were kidnapped by militants about 4 Km from Ghar Katyas , the last inhabited area of Dudu towards Seoj Dhar
Information regarding the movement of militants in this area had been received six days back. Two groups of component Police and two groups of BSF were in the area about 2-3 Kms away from the place of incident
The troops have been diverted towards the area to track down the militans () DYSP Ramnagar has rushed to the spot and the dead body of the deceased is being retrieved to Dudu. |
