| DC Doda convenes officers meeting reviews EPICs issuance | | | Early Times Reporter

District Development Commissioner Mr Sayed Sharief-ud-Din today convened a high level meeting in view of the upcoming Assembly Election.
Speaking on the occasion, he stressed upon the officers and officials to ensure timely and transparent issuance of Bilingual Electronic Photo Identity Cards (EPICs). The issues discussed in the meeting were physical verification of polling stations, issuance of verification regarding improving electoral rolls like name of ex-MLAs/MLCs and other prominent citizens, creation of new polling stations, distance of polling station from road etc.
The DDC ordered for creation of complaint cell, helpdesk and information desk in the office of District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Doda under the supervision of Electoral Registration Officer (ACR) with immediate effect.
Any elector can register his complaint and seek information regarding electoral rolls and EPICs personally from ERO (Assistant Commissioner Revenue) Doda or Election Naib Tehsildar Doda or can contact on telephone Nos 01996-233571 and 01996-233951.
The meeting was among others attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mr J R Manhas, SDM Bhaderwah, SDM Gundoh, Tehsildars Doda, Bhaderwah, Thathri, Gundoh and the concerned election staff. |
