| ‘An attempt to create confusion among the public mind’ | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | July 19 Political circles in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday have expressed surprise over the conclusion drawn by hitherto unknown agency worldpublicopinion.org, polling website, claiming that the majority of Indians have no problems with Independent Kashmir. In the survey, Indians and Pakistanis were asked to consider a range of possible outcomes for Jammu and Kashmir and to say whether they found them desirable, acceptable, tolerable, or unacceptable. The idea that received the lowest level of opposition was for Jammu and Kashmir to become independent. Political circles in state while reacting to a so called survey published in a section of Kashmir Press on Friday, said that the survey lacks any credibility as it us far from reality. Political Pandits said that the survey is based on a sample of just one thousand and two hundred (1200) people in a country of 110 crore population, which speaks about its credibility. They said,"It is a laughable conclusion and appears to be an attempt to create confusion among the public mind."(KIP) |
